We are delighted to be supporting a group of friends who, on Friday 22nd June, are attempting to cross Scotland in under 20 hours on cycle and on foot as part of the Great Glen Chase Challenge!
The firm have donated the bikes for the challenge which will see the team travel from Fort William on the west coast of Scotland to Inverness on the east coast in under 20 hours, covering 84 miles! The first stage will be a 53 mile bike ride taking them through the highlands and alongside the Caledonian Canal, the 2nd stage is a 31 mile hike on foot taking in the whole length of Loch Ness and up to 1700m of elevation.
The group of friends are undertaking the challenge to raise money and awareness for two charities which are very close to their hearts, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and MIND.
Craig Everitt, Practice Manager at LDJ said “We are delighted to support the guys in this challenge which will be hard going especially if the weather is against them. On behalf of everybody at the firm we would like to wish them all the very best in their challenge attempt and hope they return victorious!”
Paul Edgington, one of the team and organisers of the challenge, said “I would like to thank LDJ for their support and for providing us with the equipment to enable us to undertake the challenge. We have been training really hard over the last few months and we are now all eager to get going and to raise as much money and awareness as possible for our chosen charities”.
