“Ain't No Mountain High Enough"

LDJ Snowdon Trek Team

On Sunday 8th July 2018, 11 members of LDJ Solicitors embarked on a 12 hour round journey to climb Mt.Snowdon in aid of the firm’s chosen charity, WN Air Ambulance and DLR Air Ambulance.

The challenge commenced at 5.30am as they set off from their head office in Nuneaton to make the 3 hour car journey to Pen-Y-Pass in Snowdonia.

The team started their accent via the popular PYG track and from the get go the heat and difficult terrain started to take its toll. However, with words of encouragement and a helping hand or two, all 11 members reached the summit after approximately 3 hours and seized the opportunity to take a well-deserved rest and admire the fabulous views.

After a spot of lunch (and a celebratory drink!), the team commenced their decent which in some places was more difficult than the accent with loose rocks and scree underfoot. At the midway point, the team stopped to cool off by one of the mountains natural pools before soldiering on to the finish line back at Pen-Y-Pass.

Craig Everitt, Practice Manager said “It was a fantastic day however I must admit we all underestimate how tough it was going to be, especially in this heat. I was really proud to see how well the team pulled together to help each other complete the challenge and it highlighted to me just how well the LDJ team works together in and out of the office! I would like to take this opportunity to thank the air ambulance for their support and to everyone who made a donation and wished us well. We couldn’t have done it without you!”

The LDJ Snowdon Trek has raised over £1,000 for the local Air Ambulance Service through online and offline donations and it’s not too late to show your support.
